Untrue - the very first 2002 episode (on Youtube currently) is full of familiar features: Dom's Tricky Training, Diddy sketches, Strangely Talented... The series was quite carefully planned, not thrown together.

* EarlyInstalmentWeirdness: With the exception of The Pants Dance and the Forfeits Auctions, the first episodes of the show have barely any items that carried over to later episodes.

* {{Spinoff}}: One element of the show, the very short DiddyDickAndDom sketches, has been sporadically used as filler between CBBC programmes, and new episodes of this have been filmed (to be shown in 2012). Recurring character Harry Batt had a pilot for a spin-off show.

* InnocentSwearing: On a few occasions one of the Bungalowheads said a swear word over something. Due to being live Saturday morning television, they couldn't bleep it out. So yes, you get to see a kid say words such as "hell" live on [=CBBC=].

Not so weird, they continued with a few games based on the cartoons (Hope this formatting is OK)

* EarlyInstalmentWeirdness: The first episodes had a game based on [[Series/RentAGhost Rentaghost]]. Games based off of the shows aired on the show hardly appeared after that.

* LoadsAndLoadsOfRoles: Dave Chapman and Ian Kirkby played tens of characters each. Melvin O'Doom slightly fewer, but danced a lot. Even Dick and Dom had several each, like Toni and Tony or Tom Dickunharry.

* CoveredInGunge: Including but not limited to ProducePelting, FoodFight, PieInTheFace. The raison d'etre of the show. Ramped up from the odd squirt with shaving foam in the early days to hundreds of buckets of custard. Many and innovative ways of gunging contestants--flicking tinned tomatoes, dumping bowls of tapioca, chucking eggs, smearing glue, throwing buckets of molasses across the room, painting whitewash, spraying soup from a stuffed crocodile's head, and the simple traditional gunge tank (located in the toilet) for the final loser.

* NoIndoorVoice: Tracey Beaker went up against Dom at Bogies... do we ''need'' to tell you who won?[[note]]If you've never seen Tracey Beaker, we ''will'' answer it. ''She'' won--by being ''so goddamn loud'' that Dom ''conceded'' the round to her. Dick and Dom have only ever conceded before when in situations where it's inappropriate or they could get thrown out if they went any louder. Too concede to someone ''because they're too loud even for Dick and Dom'' is practically unheard of.[[/note]]

** On the show on January 18th, 2004, a Bungalowhead named Raja was given a forefit named "Ready, Steady, Muck", a parody of the BBC show Ready Steady Cook. His response? Running away and hiding in the catflap. This lead to Tom Dickunharry doing the forfeit.

Live, unscripted, anarchic [[Creator/TheBBC BBC]] SaturdayMorningKidsShow (continued on Sunday mornings) which ran from 2002-2006. Hosted by [[Creator/DickAndDom Richard [=McCourt=] and Dominic Wood]]. Chiefly famous for running entirely on RuleOfFunny for an audience of children; plenty of gunge and ToiletHumor. The “Bungalow” of the title was the set, supposedly Dick and Dom's home where a bunch of children would turn up every weekend to play silly games--see a [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_and_dom_in_da_bungalow#Bungalow_games list]] at Wiki/TheOtherWiki.

* {{Corpsing}}: Considering that most of the show is unscripted and random, everyone is prone to this. Especially [[LaughThemselvesSick Dick]], who often goes red he's laughing so much and sometimes even [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFsF8VTe_QU literally]] rolling on the floor laughing.
