* AmbiguouslyBi: Derek at least. While Trevor was [[WordOfGay confirmed]] to be bisexual during the Pride Month 2023 announcement of the show's creators, whether Derek is likewise bisexual or not is currently unknown, as the image that confirms the sexual orientations of most of the show's characters have Derek wear a flower necklace with the bisexual flag's colors, but his annoyed expression can give the impression that he merely wears it to support Trevor who enthusiastically holds a bisexual flag.
* CanonForeigner: They were not present in the original version of the first season, replacing Jared Johnson as the hosts of the remake.
* DepravedBisexual: Both Trevor and ([[AmbiguouslyBi possibly]]) Derek [[spoiler:have been confirmed in anticipation of the season that much like Jared Johnson from the first season's original version, they are using the show for a criminal business, though how ruthless the enterprise actually is remains currently unknown.]]
* NiceGuy: Trevor is considerably kinder and tries to keep [[{{Sadist}} Derek]] in line when he leans into being a cruel host.
* {{Sadist}}: Unlike [[NiceGuy Trevor]], Derek is a more typical host of the show who revels in the contestants' misery and pain.
* ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem: [[spoiler:During the water fight challenge, Derek only lets the Purple Team to fight with wooden sticks or with their fists while the Teal Team can use jousting sticks, but once Lill uses Gabby's jousting stick to knock her off the platform and win a point, Derek lets the Purple Team keep the point despite Dan's protests because it must have hurt.]]

->'''Voiced by:''' Noemy Cyrman (Spanish), Poulette Aref (English)
->'''Label:''' The New Host

Kristal is the daughter of [[Characters/TotalDramaHosts one of the most famous reality TV hosts of our time]] and always has been in his shadow, even if they don't have the best relationship. ''Disventure Camp'' will be Kristal's first appearance on TV, and she wants to break the legacy of her father and host in a different way.
----
* AbusiveParents: Her father is [[Characters/TotalDramaHosts Chris McLean]], that's self-explanatory. [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]] in that while she knew he was her father, his involvement in her life was minimal due to his job and all she had to know him by was her mom and TV.
* BareMidriffsAreFeminine: Her version of the typical shirt worn by ''[[WesternAnimation/TotalDrama Total Drama]]'''s host and interns is a more feminine one also worn by [[Characters/TotalDramaToxicRats Dakota]] from that show.
* DoomItYourself: [[spoiler:Kristal brushes off Oliver’s claims of how hard his job is and how unfair the treatment and workload she gives him is, but once he quits and it’s on her to build the challenges, she has to feel the workload herself. However, she proves to be an absolutely '''terrible''' handywoman when everything ends up breaking in the next challenge; the dodgeball runs out of air, one of the platforms collapses, and her ball turret ends up stalling and firing haphazardly. By the next episode where she can’t even get the go-karts for a planned challenge to work, she’s forced to admit that she underestimated how hard the job was.]]
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Despite her cruelty, she initially doesn't want to end up going as low as her father did back when he hosted the show.
* ImpossibleHourglassFigure: The best example, having the most voluptuous body out of all the girls with slim physiques which is more visible when she wears her bikini.
* LikeParentLikeChild: Both her and her father have hosted reality shows, are arrogant, have ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem moments, and possess {{sadist}}ic streaks.
* MsExposition: As the hostess of the show, especially when explaining challenges.
* NeverMyFault: Much like her father, Kristal would sooner deflect blame onto someone else than admit to her own mistakes and cruelty. [[spoiler:Even when it became apparent that she couldn’t build challenges on her own the way Oliver could, she initially refused to go out and apologize to him or hire a new intern because doing so would mean admitting that Oliver was right to call her out. It takes Marcus and Nina confronting her and Marcus telling her that there’s no shame in admitting when we’ve messed up for her to finally swallow her pride and go out to look for Oliver.]]
* OddFriendship: A rather subtle one, but she develops one with [[spoiler:Lake, an initially timid contestant who's nothing like her, after their heart-to-heart conversation about their problems with their parents. Made even more ironic, given that Lake was the one who delivered TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to her during the Queen challenge, triggering the hostess to end it]].
* PetTheDog: She has her moments of displaying a heart underneath her sadism, which later gets lampshaded.
** [[spoiler:Lets Oliver stay on the show as an intern after his elimination and eventually acknowledges his worth and apologizes for treating him badly.]]
** [[spoiler:After a heart-to-heart conversation with Lake about their problems with their parents, she refuses to let Lake leave the show per the demands of the latter's father]].
* {{Sadist}}: She enjoys others' sufferings. Her sadism is sometimes even on par with her father, [[Characters/TotalDramaHosts Chris McLean]], much to her dismay.
* SanitySlippage: She knows about how sadistic her father became, so she has her intern let her know when to be rational towards the campers. [[spoiler: However, she starts to ignore her plan and becomes sadistic and ratings hungry like her father. This comes to a head when Oliver gives her a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech and quits, and the next episodes give her a big dose of humble pie when she’s forced to see how hard an intern's job really is under her employ]].
* ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem: Not as often as her father, but she still has her moments. Examples include announcing a double elimination last-minute in Episode 3 for no real reason, [[spoiler:letting Hunter win in Episode 7 even though Lake had completed the challenge before him even if her ring fell off quickly afterwards, and deciding that Hunter wins in Episode 9 for being the only person to cross the finish line, ignoring the fact that he lost his partner along the way and accidentally got his blindfold taken off]].

->'''Marcus Voiced by:''' Julian Alfon (Spanish), Scott Phantasm (English)
->'''Nina Voiced by:''' Daiannie Vera (Spanish), Natosaosa (English)
->'''Label:''' The Bus Driver and his Puppet

Marcus is a man of few words, often letting his puppet Nina do most of the talking. And while Nina is a puppet, she often seems to have a mind of her own, and a rather sadistic one at that…
----
* AmbiguousSituation: Though she looks at first like a ventriloquist puppet, Nina can be seen talking and moving on her own even when Marcus isn't around. Whether she's a DemonicDummy or maybe a highly advanced robot controlled by someone is currently unknown.
* BerserkButton: Don't take Nina without Marcus's permission.
* BigOlUnibrow: Marcus is the only character with a unibrow, quite big at that.
* BrattyHalfPint: Nina, Marcus' puppet, has a lot of rude comments to say to everyone, and enjoys being a sadist.
* CoolShades: Marcus wears them all the time. Might overlap with SinisterShades since they add to the somewhat unnerving mysteriousness of his character.
* CreepyDoll: Nina looks rather uncanny, especially when she talks and walks on her own without Marcus around.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Episode 8 gives them a lot of focus as the two host the challenge.
* DemonicDummy: Basically Nina's stereotype.
* DemotedToExtra: While initially set up as the co-host of the show, Marcus (and Nina as well as a result) gets less screentime the moment [[spoiler:Oliver becomes an intern]] since their roles are mostly interchangeable, except for Marcus also driving the bus. This becomes noticeable when Marcus and Nina get the aforementioned ADayInTheLimelight in one of the episodes during which [[spoiler:Oliver is missing]].
* GoodAllAlong: Downplayed as she isn’t exactly Good per say but [[spoiler: Nina isn’t actually interested in murdering the campers despite what the Killer Challenge implied]]. Marcus is especially rather affable, provided that his BerserkButton isn't pressed.
* GoodHairEvilHair: Has a long and curly beard with a mustache which adds to the mysteriousness and untrustworthiness of his character.
* NeverBareheaded: Marcus is never seen without his hat.
* PushoverParents: Averted. Marcus disciplines Nina if she starts to get out of control.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Nina's irises turn red when she claims Episode 8 will be the last one in the recap.
* {{Sadist}}: When given the chance to host the show, Nina proves herself to be as sadistic as her predecessors.
* ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem: During Nina's time as the hostess of the show, she lets an eliminated player return and allows two contestants who failed the challenge to win immunity alongside the "killer," ordering said returning player to choose [[spoiler:Ally and Hunter]] specifically, so as to increase the drama among the cast.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Per above, by telling [[spoiler:Karol]] to share her immunity with [[spoiler:Ally and Hunter]], Nina effectively switched the target of elimination for the episode, forcing the alliance between [[spoiler: Aiden and James and the trio of Lake, Riya, and Rosa Maria]] to vote for one of them, allowing the remaining alliances to be balanced and thus ensuring more drama.
