It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Ask the Tropers:
There's a character sheet dedicated to "Eminem Beefs"... Music
Eminem — Beefs is a sub-page to Eminem's character page, and the "characters" it documents are real other artists that Eminem (the artist) got into beefs with and targeted in diss tracks.
Is this page actually allowed? I can kinda understand doing a character page for Eminem's music given he raps as alternate personas (ex. "Slim Shady" is not the same as Marshall Mathers), but this sub-page just seems like it's a really weird way to document real-life drama, in addition to troping real people (granted, usually based on the context of the raps and music, but it still skirts a little too close for comfort).
Question about a page cut Music
So I saw Tim Wilson had a Trivia page but it was cut and I see some Trivia tropes that should be in that tab but it said "Ask to make sure it's safe to recreate" what does that mean? Why would I need to "ask the tropers"?
Uncertain page type Music
While doing other cleanup I came across Korean Pop Music, a page that is categorized as an index and, among other things, has an example list. All of the examples are general to the genre, but I'm not sure if this is kosher?
Additionally, I'm not sure its categorized properly either. The page reads more like a Useful Note. It does list a bunch of artists in the industry, which I suppose is what its indexing, but it's more just a list as many of the artists do not have pages on this cite.
I'm not sure what to do with this page, or if there's a thread this should be taken to.
Cannot find my page in "Search" Music
I recently created a new page for a band. I tried to cross-check it from the search bar, but it doesn't appear as a result. I tried sorting the results by date and added some tropes and crosswicked them, but still I can only access it from my followed pages.
Consensus for an entry re-write in Awesome Music.Nirvana Music
When I first grouped the Incesticide songs into one entry with sub-bullets on Awesome Music.Nirvana, I added the description below, part of which (from "manages to" onwards) was then removed by mlsmithca for not making sense in terms of grammar according to them.
- The band's B-sides compilation album, Incesticide, manages to retain some good mentions of songs:
Because I wanted the Incesticide entry to follow the pattern of the other album entries on the page, I came up with this new description.
- Despite being a compilation album of B-sides, Incesticide still has some tracks that deserve a mention.
I set up this query after being advised on the Get Help With English forum thread to take one of the measures listed in the Edit War page (this query being one of the possible ways) to gain a consensus and avoid my addition of the new description look like an edit war. Here's the links to my post and the advice in case anyone wants to see them.
So, do you think the new description would fit grammatically?
How to add Heartwarming and Funny to Musicians Music
I have been done a lot of editing to the Sheena Easton page on here and I was going to add the Heartwarming and Funny tabs or whatever you call them, but when I click on the "Create New" function, they are not listed and I know some examples that would fit in both of those categories for her, in particular her work with Prince.
Are Musicians/Bands allowed to be Workshopped in TLP Music
So I'm planning on creating a page for John Mayer, as he currently doesn't have one yet. But this is actually my first time doing a music related main page so I'll need some help. I know shows and movies can be workshopped in the TLP, but are musicians allowed?
Edited by AudioSpeaks2Recreating Ricardo Silva's page Music
Would it be safe to recreate Ricardo Silva's page? The Doblaje Wiki has a long list of his works that could easily be added into it.
Safe to recreate Kaskade Music
Is it Safe to recreate The music page for Kaskade because he is an American DJ
Wrong custom title use? Music
I only recently noticed that Michael Jackson's Xscape album was given the custom title Xscape to distinguish it from the recently-created page for Xscape. While I understand why it was done, the URL for the album's page lacks the disambig like the band's page does, so is this actually okay to do? I'm genuinely unsure.
Edited by AfroThunderLinks to "Music" Music
Given that links to the disambig page Music have been showing up as green for a month now, I assume there's already been discussions on the forums about whether and where to redirect links to that page. If so, could someone please point me there?
The questionable tropes from The Living Tombstone Music
Found these from The Living Tombstone that is listed within the ymmv page here.
I believe they don’t count as YMMV tropes but maybe it could be possible to somehow alter/or change them into a different appropriate trope. Or I can just simply erase them. Any thoughts?New works page. Music
Hi, just asking about a point of etiquette for tropers. I managed to get the formatting of the namespace right and set up the Music works page for the Blue Öyster Cult album Blue Öyster Cult (1972). While I was pulling in the detail info I needed to start the page off, I got the advisory that I'd over-run the twenty minutes and/or another troper had taken the page over in the meantime so that my edit was likely not to be kept.I periodically clicked on the "submit" button only to get the same advisory that the edit could not be accepted as another Troper had checked the page out. I left it alone, then came back some time later, clicked the right buttons and my edit was accepted by the system in its entirety. I'm just concerned that if another person had also been setting up a version of the page at the same time, I might have wiped out their work in its entirety - the page history, however, has no trace anyone else was there. (confusing!) I stress: I'm really not sure what happened there: I was editing and was then told somebody else had taken it over as my time had expired. But going into history there's no trace anyone else was ever here - or I'd have proposed blending the best of both our suggested edits, collaborating on this. If the other person is there, no slight was intended.
Edited by AgProvThe original heavy metal umlaut. Music
I've picked up an interesting project to do here involving filling in the gaps on a band's discography, (Blue Öyster Cult) writing Works pages for LP's which are at present redlinks or not there at all. Happy to do this.
But two questions for the tropers:
i) An LP title is properly spelt The Revölution By Night. I've set the works page up - but it's only in the form Revolution By Night, so it really needs the page name to be edited on both counts. I'm not sure how to do this - inserting an umlaut into a work page title is something that needs to be specifically requested? .
ii) Also, the band's first LP, which needs a works page, is self-titled. But this namespace is being used for all tropes to do with the band in general, as Blue Öyster Cult. Is there a workround in situations like this?
Thanks for help!
Avoiding an edit war about alphabetization Music
On the Europop page, I've moved the a-ha link to be in alphabetical order. However, Graf von Tirol later moved it to be above ABBA, which is not how we do it here (How to Alphabetize Things says to ignore punctuation in titles). Can I change it back?
Recreating the old The Pillows page Music
Wanted to create a proper trope page for the band The Pillows, as the old page had no tropes so it was deleted a few years back. Just figured I'd ask because I actually want to properly trope their work as I'm a massive fan of the band.
"Duplicate examples" between album YMMV pages and musical artist Moments pages Music
When I created a Nightmare Fuel page for The Downward Spiral, I removed all of the Moments item examples in its YMMV page due to them already being mentioned (with better detail, on top of that) in the Moments pages of its band Nine Inch Nails. Then Time Lord Victorious came in and re-added the Tear Jerker entry for the song "Hurt" (albeit with an even shorter description) in The Downward Spiral's page.
What I want to ask is, what's the policy on including album-specific examples on both the album's YMMV page and the Moments pages for the artist (when the album doesn't have its own page for the itemnote The Downward Spiral currently doesn't have pages for Moment of Awesome, Funny Moments, Heartwarming Moments and Tear Jerker, just Nightmare Fuel)? And, based on the re-add of the "Hurt" entry, is an edit war at play here?

Artists & Bands Music
Do we not have any general pages covering Tribute Acts and/or Cover Bands? Honestly feel like pages relating to music in general could be better organized.
