As your friendly neighborhood Admin Team, the gang here at TVTropes HQ is always working to improve the site.
Many of those improvements begin with suggestions posted right here, on the Community Wishlist. Is there a feature you really want on TVTropes? Post it.
Is there something we could be doing better? We want to know. Do you think we look fat in these pants? We were totally afraid of that. See a bug? Report it.
Important things to know:
- We're all about that content-creation life! The top contenders for our attention are ideas that'll create more content, like the video uploading feature, or speed up launching new pages. On the flip side, design or layout tweaks won't be our top priority.
- Help us dig through the goldmine of old wishlist items! If you have an old request gathering dust or spot one you're totally on board with, give it a bump and a like. There's a treasure trove of 6+ years' worth of ideas just waiting to be rediscovered. Items without enough love may not make the cut and will be closed.
- Was your wishlist item locked up without an explanation? It was most likely disapproved or just too big of a task versus the benefit it would ultimately have. Time is precious, and we want to focus on updates with the biggest bang for the buck. Don't be discouraged though! We appreciate every idea and we're always listening.
Actually, we already have something like this. To follow TLP pages, you need to click the thumbs up button next to the replies section of every TLP draft. There's also a thumbs up section next to to the all button. See here◊
However, it's far from intuitive and that's been brought up as an issue before. I'll be good with swapping the thumbs up icons with "follow/following" buttons.
Edited by MacronNotes Macron's notesOhhhh, so that's what those buttons are for. I thought they were some sort of Like feature akin to Facebook or something. Good to know.
I'd be down with having the buttons changed sometime in the future, though.
It used to be a flag, even, and the followed TLP list is still https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/tlp_activity.php?filter=flagged.
Not sure why it ever became a thumb.
Look at this game! There is a CAT in it!TLP flag icon is now a flag, again. It also properly highlights when clicked on without a page refresh. Please check the Changelog for a list of other current updates and be sure to comment/like other wishlist items to get them approved as well.

Edited by kory Now monitoring Wishlist and BugsFlags are often used to denote flagging inappropriate content, like on YouTube. I'd recommend another icon, like an eyeball or the thumbtack used when following wiki pages.
The button could also be labelled with something like "Follow", for clarity.
^ I agree. A flag is nice, but something more distinct like a thumbtack would stick out more. Some may mistake the flag icon as flagging a draft for mod review or something along those lines.
That's a good point
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupMaybe a bookmark icon?
^ That would be good.
Personally bookmark > pin
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupPerhaps "bookmarked" (drafts)?
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupAlso works, yes.
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup^^ I concur with that.
Maybe add a bookmark feature at the draft too, like prior to 1.8 as well.
A movement becomes a trend when people want the style, but not the lifestyle. ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔This wishlist query has been fulfilled. Check the Changelog or the Wiki Talk Changelog Thread for a full list of recent updates.
Please remember to like and bump any new or old wishlist queries you think deserve attention so i know what the community needs me to work on moving forward.

I think one of the biggest contributors to abandoned or barely-contributed-to drafts is because sponsors don't think to check on them, which is in turn because they don't show up on their Forum Threads page since you can't follow them for new replies.
Adding a Following button to TLP drafts, which would allow the sponsor or other tropers to come back to it and contribute to it when it pops up in the Forum Threads section, would help.
