Song that says "As the day fades away" Music
There was this song I first heard on the radio in 1997. I would call it smooth jazz, or maybe soft rock. It had a female singer singing "As The Day Fades Away", which I'm pretty sure was the only lyrics in the song (at least I don't remember any others.)
Anime Music Video About Girl And Robot Music
So, there was this music video I saw in around 2009 that was playing on some rhythm game installed at a Chuck E. Cheese.
It was animated in an anime style and follows this girl, who was running through a forest before she suddenly slips and winds up tumbling into this abandoned building. The building isn’t in the best condition with wires dangling everywhere, and she ends up meeting this little spherical robot (closest image I can think of is One-One from Infinity Train but with a different color palette).
A bunch of bigger and more intimidating looking robots end up activating and chase after the girl and the little robot while shooting lasers at them. The little robot ends up forcing the girl into an escape pod while leaving itself behind. It ends with the girl crying as the building explodes while the escape pod flies away.
Haven’t seen it since and it’s been driving me crazy.
Edited by RabbitsAreNeat[Solved] dance party starts in a traffic jam? Music
Trying to ecover a music video for an EDM track. The video involves a traffic jam caused by two officers arresting a man. People start dancing, including a panhandler, a married couple with the wife pregnant and an older lady that starts humping an older man. Eventually the two police officers join in, and meanwhile two guys are freeing the arrested guy who than drives away in the patrol car.
Edited by CirceusWeezer's Beverly Hills but Portobello Mushroom with Cheese Music
My friend told me he remembers a parody of Weezer's Beverly Hills in an ad or something, but instead of the "that's where I want to be" part it's "portobello mushrooms with cheese." Anyone know what ad this is is from?
Animated music video from a few years back Music
I really distinctly remember this animated music video I used to watch (on Youtube) all the time back sometime in 2013-2015 or so, it had what looked like high detailed cutout paper(?) animation of a child running from a wolf and other creatures (or maybe the same one morphing into other things), at one point getting swallowed by a whale, and at the end ending up in a blank white space. The song itself I think had a beat very similar to Rolling in the Deep by Adele, but I can't remember anything else about it.
Music video. Small animated animals being attacked whilst band plays. Music
I can’t remember the name of a song, or the band, where in the video the band plays in an animated forest and small animated animals come to listen but are being attacked by something in the dark. I think it’s Australian and the drummer is wearing a military cap. Searching for related references just gets me children’s videos about Australian animals.
Music Video Robot Girl with surgery Music
The video alternate between the female singer singing on stage and the singer in a surgery-like room with doctors doing stuff to her robotic body. Except in the moments where we can see the mechanical insides, the girl looks fully human.
Music video: 1980s song, convertible in the desert, hat thrown on the ground Music
I once saw a snippet of a black and white music video (probably from the 1980s, less likely the 1990s). The song was rather in a calm tone.
In the music video, a white man was driving slowly in a car (probably a convertible) through some desert. There is also a scene where, while driving, his hat falls to the ground.
"Ulterior motives" song Music
There's a clip of a song floating around the Internet that goes "Everyone knows that, you've got ulterior motives" Sounds like Wham! Or Culture club. Trying to find out the singer or title, maybe release year.
Edited by s2003A song that ended with innocent laughter Music
I vaguely remember that I probably heard the song on You Tube. It was rather beautiful, if I remember correctly, and ended with a child's innocent laugh. I think I also remember a comment about said laugh.
Samples in a song Music
There's this song called "Living" by a Greek rock band called Transistor that has spoken word samples of a man saying things like "This is the living, living off the dead." and "You can just call me gimpy.", as well as talking about some kind of expensive life-extending therapy. I've been trying to find the source of these samples but to no luck.
Here's the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwDrFuBgJxM
[SOLVED] Cutesy French CGI music video from 2000s Music
Somewhere around 15 years ago I watched a music video on MTV (could've been a different music channel, but it was definitely on TV). The song wasn't in English, I think it might've been French? The music was very cheery and upbeat (very ear-wormy too), and the visuals were completely CGI animated. The characters weren't human-proportioned, they were more chibi-shaped, and I don't think there was any plot, they were just dancing around. The setting was outdoors, some kind of island, I think? I remember it being a total Sugar Bowl, very cutesy and pastel-colored.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Because I saw another troper asking about music videos and suddenly remembered this pastel nightmare, and now I can't get it out of my head.
Edited by AndarielMusic video with sewer and subway Music
This was a music video I saw on TV when I was very young. It would have likely been somewhere between 1999-2002. I think it was likely on a BBC show, but it might have been ITV, or maybe even RTE. The main things I remember were the Book Ends, where it began with a group of guys jumping down a manhole, and ending with them jumping back out, my memory might be fuzzy, but I think they jumped with Limited Animation. I also remember a shot of a subway train with them seen in one of the windows, and I feel the song commonly said “Down down down the (word lost to memory)”. It’s been bugging me a ton over the past couple years, and the only Google queries I’ve tried have lead to songs that are way too recent compared to where my memories land.
Edited by TrialmanSong about nuclear war Music
I'm looking for the name of a song about a nuclear apocalypse. The lyrics might have something to do with dancing right before the end. The singer is male and may be singing to his wife in the context of the lyrics (they might have children too). It is most likely a popular song. Because of the theme it is most likely from the 1980s.
We believe we have ruled out Alphaville - Forever Young, Ultravox - Dancing With Tears In My Eyes and anything by Kate Bush.
"I'm So Excited" like an ad for oranges Music
I'm looking for a music video for "I'm So Excited" performed by somebody other than The Pointer Sisters. They were a trio of one Black man and two women. There were oranges everywhere: the male lead starts singing the second(?) verse with oranges in both hands; during one of the refrains the trio drags a billboard with oranges back and forth. I saw it several times over a period of several years in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
Edited by tkzvFamiliar Melodies Music
I'm not looking for an actual song per se, but the "origins" of two melodies that I've heard in multiple places.
- The first one is an eight-note mini-melody that can be heard in A Hat in Time as She Came From Outer Space, and in Storm Hawks as part of the main theme.
- The second one is a short, six-note tune heard in Power Rangers as part of Go Go Power Rangers, and Priceline's "No Way" ad as a ringtone.
Song from the late 2000s Music
I remember a song that was trending on the radio between 2007 and 2009. Looking through billboard charts and couldn't find what it was. A guy was singing about how he's playing with his band in a garage or basement but he was upbeat about life. He'd also mentioned his girlfriend was in the other room doing laundry or something. Anyone with any idea what this is?
Song with "shu-shook" in the chorus Music
This song from The '90s that was on the radio a lot.Male singer, genre maybe rock? The main think I remember is in the chorus someone says the "word" "shu-shook" repeatedly. The rest of the chorus (and the song in general) was real words, but I can't remember any to look up
